Jackson signs Dons deal

Defender pens new one-year contract...

22 June 2018

Oran Jackson has signed a new contract with MK Dons, extending the Academy graduate's stay with the Football Club.

Jackson’s existing deal was set to expire at the end of the month but, after putting pen-to-paper on a new one-year contract, the defender will now remain at Stadium MK until at least June 2019. The deal also includes a 12-month option.

“I’m very pleased to sign this deal,” the 19-year-old told iFollow MK Dons. “It was an easy decision to make and now I can really focus on kicking on next season - I can’t wait for it to start.

“This deal gives me a chance to push forward with this Club. I want to play for MK Dons and now I have a further opportunity to show what I can do.

“It’s a clean slate for everybody with the new manager coming in. I’ve heard good things about him and I’m excited to work with him.”

Jackson, who has been with MK Dons since the age of nine, made his senior debut during the Sky Bet Championship clash with Nottingham Forest in May 2016.

He has made a total of five first-team appearances to date, while last season he captained the Under-23s to the finals of the Berks and Bucks FA County Senior Cup and the Central League Cup.

Reflecting on his 2017/18 campaign with the Under-23s, Jackson said: “I think it did help me and it’s put me in a position where I’m feeling ready to kick on next season."
