mkdons.com lists a number of things you may not know about new signing Lawson D'Ath...

Local Lad

Born in Witney and currently residing in Milton Keynes, Lawson D'Ath is a man already accustomed to the area.

The midfielder spent the formative years of his career a short drive away in Reading before, in 2014, signing for Northampton Town where he'd stay for three years.

In January 2017, D'Ath joined Luton Town and now arrives at MK Dons having experienced in the South East.

Royal Experience

The 25-year-old certainly had a good grounding at the start of his career as he progressed through the famous Reading FC academy. The Royals academy has produced over 45 players that have gone on to play first team football at the Madejski Stadium including Jem Karacan, Shane Long, Alex McCarthy and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Having impressed during his days in the academy system, D'Ath would go on to score 17 goals in 22 appearances for the Under-18s and reserves and made his Reading debut during their Emirates FA Cup clash with Stevenage.

Worked with Tisdale

This won't be the first time midfielder has played for Paul Tisdale having joined Exeter City on loan back in 2013. Tisdale actually got his first sight of D'Ath a few months prior to signing him with the midfielder scoring his first professional while on at Cheltenham goal against Tisdale's Exeter City side.

In March 2013, D'Ath joined Exeter City on a one-month loan spell, and scored on his debut for The Grecians during their 4-1 win over Bradford City. While D'Ath never played alongside MK Dons Assistant Manager Matt Oakley during his time at St James Park, the duo will be accustomed to each other having been with the Devonshire Club at the same time in their career.

Sky Bet League Two winner

An experienced Sky Bet League Two face, D'Ath has won promotion out of the division twice in his career with Northampton and Luton respectively. He was first part of Chris Wilder's Northampton Town side that won the division on 99 points in 2016 before helping Luton Town climb out of the division last season.

His experience in helping Club's get out of the division will no doubt prove invaluable to Tisdale throughout the course of the campaign.

Options across midfield

It's safe to say the former Reading man will provide a number of options for Tisdale during his time at Stadium MK. Although predominantly a central midfielder, D'Ath can also drop deep and occupy the holding midfield position.
The 25-year-old has also played on both wings during his career and brings quality in a number of positions to MK1.
