MK Dons have made midfielder Lawson D’Ath their third signing in two days, as Paul Tisdale continues to bolster his squad.
D’Ath, 25, has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal which will become effective once his contract at Luton Town expires at the end of June.
He is MK Dons’ third signing this week, following the arrivals of defender Jordan Moore-Taylor and fellow midfielder Ryan Watson, who moved to Stadium MK earlier today [Wednesday].
“I’m delighted to be here,” D’Ath told iFollow MK Dons. “I can’t wait to get going and get the season started.
“I’ve played under Paul before and I know what he’s about and how he wants to play football. It’s how I want to play. I’m just looking forward to working with him again.
“I live two minutes away from the stadium and I’ve kept an eye out for the team. It’s a great stadium and I can’t wait to play here.”
The attack-minded midfielder, who began his career with Reading, has experience of the division having made over 140 Sky Bet League Two appearances for the likes of Cheltenham Town, Exeter City, Dagenham & Redbridge, Northampton Town and Luton Town.
A player with an eye for goal, D'Ath has won promotion twice from Sky Bet League Two, having done so with Northampton Town and, more recently, Luton.
He enjoyed his most fruitful spell with the Cobblers, netting 11 goals and providing 10 assists in two seasons before moving to Bedfordshire.
Manager Paul Tisdale told mkdons.com: “Lawson is a forward-thinking midfielder who can play in a number of different positions. He’s also had experience in this division in the last three years.
“This season we need to be competitive, robust and fluid team and Lawson provides us with those qualities. He is a very useful addition to the squad.”
