Football Development...

MK Dons Girls Regional Talent Club are holding trials for the 2018-19 season this week. MK Dons Girls Regional Talent Club is an FA Licenced Programme that is part of the FA Girls England Talent Pathway offering talented female players the opportunity to train and play in an elite development environment.

Education...

Last week our BTEC programme held an open day for next years intake, it was great to meet some of the young people who are going to be starting the programme in September. Our BTEC programme is a unique two-year football and education programme for 16-18-year-olds with our next open day taking place in the summer holidays.

Our trainees are now halfway through their 12-week programme. They have been able to get involved with a number of programmes we deliver including our Inclusion training sessions and half term holiday courses.

MK Dons SET Whitsun Holiday Course...

MK Dons SET run Whitsun holiday course last week. The week was a real success with over 60 unique participants attending the week; individuals also had a chance to win free MK Dons tickets and many more prizes. Participants worked on technical skills during the morning, with lots of tournaments during the afternoon, an ongoing premier league run throughout the week with Manchester City running out winners. We are now looking forward to 6 weeks of summer holidays where players will have this opportunity once again.

Health and Inclusion...

We have begun delivery at a number of schools for our final half term of delivery for this academic year. With the support and funding from Kinder & the EFL Trust, we are on track to reach our target of delivering in 30 schools to 60 classes of year 5 students within this academic year. The project provides 6 weeks of theory & practical lessons. The theory part provides the children with information about the benefits of exercise, fitness, healthy eating & hydration on the body. The practical element provides a mixture of dodgeball, handball & football activities. By the end of the summer term, we will have engaged 1800 school children on the project this year.
