MK Dons wrapped up their pre-season campaign with a 1-0 win over Oxford United last week – a game which saw Joe Walsh grace the Stadium MK turf for the first time following his injury.
The defender has worked closely with Simon Crampton, Adam Ross and the rest of the Medical and Sports Science Department during the summer and continued his rehabilitation process with a 45-minutes run out against Karl Robinson’s side.
The Welshman looked assured throughout and told iFollow MK Dons he’s in good condition ahead of the Sky Bet League Two campaign.
“I’m feeling good now, pre-season has been about getting the fitness and sharpness back so it was good to continue that against Oxford.
“I’m feeling good, I had a little rest as I didn’t want to do too much after coming back from 6-months out – but I’m feeling good and ready to go.”
Walsh also spoke about the pride of keeping a clean sheet and noted that winning any type of match is always a bonus.
“It’s always nice to get a clean sheet the boys done well after I went off to maintain that clean sheet, even in training you want to win every game, pre-season games and the league games you want to win every match you play in."
