MK Dons head out to Spain

Squad depart for Murcia...

15 July 2018

MK Dons begin their six-day training camp in Spain later today, as they continue their preparations for the 2018/19 season.

The squad flew out to their training base in Murcia on Sunday morning and they will be based there until Saturday.

Alex Gilbey, who continues to rehabilitate from a knee injury, has made the trip as he continues to build-up towards a comeback. Osman Sow, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Chuks Aneke - three players not ready for match action - have remained at Stadium MK to continue their individual training programmes, but Ryan Harley and Lawson D’Ath, who both missed the friendly with Brackley Town earlier this week, have travelled and are expected to play in the two friendlies.

MK Dons will train each day while also playing two matches - they will face UD Almeria on Wednesday evening and will also take on FC Jumilla on Friday. Both matches take place at the Pinatar Arena and kick-off at 6pm GMT.

The media team will join the squad on Tuesday to begin coverage of the training camp. Stay tuned for full coverage on mkdons.com, iFollow MK Dons and all the social media channels from Tuesday.
