Six starlets offered scholarships

MK Dons is pleased to announce the next group of exciting young players who have been offered apprenticeships and will continue their development with the Dons for the next two seasons.

Finlay Brennan, John Freeman, Ollie Leach, Jamie Robinson, George Rose and Jamal Sule have been offered the opportunity to train, represent and develop with the Dons’ unique Academy.

The six players have all trained and played for the Under-16s squad over the last 18 months, under the guidance of Lead Youth Development Coach, Lewis Higgs, who has been instrumental in the management of the coaching and development programme that these players have followed.

In this next stage of their development, they will seek to learn, understand and apply themselves to the craft of professional football. The opportunity also includes an Education framework which comprises some key elements – BTEC study in Performance Excellence (Sport), the FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate, the NVQ in Sports Performance as well as a range of other workshops and qualifications that are delivered over the two-year cycle.
