Joe Walsh and loanee Scott Golbourne both look set for lengthy spells on the sidelines, Robbie Neilson confirmed on Saturday.
The duo were absent for the goalless draw with AFC Wimbledon and Neilson addressed their status in his post-match interview.
“They are going in for operations so the two of them are going to be out for an extended period – probably the end of the season,” Neilson told the media. “It’s a big disappointment for us.”
Golbourne’s loan deal expired after Saturday’s clash with AFC Wimbledon with the defender having totalled 21 appearances during his time at Stadium MK.
A full injury update from Head of Sports Medicine Simon Crampton will be available on mkdons.com early next week.
*The absence of Ike Ugbo was also a topic of conversation in Neilson’s media address, with the Dons boss confirming the reason for his absence.
“We had an agreement with Chelsea,” Neilson said. “The agreement was that he would play against QPR and not available for this one.
"Originally he was meant to come after this game because they have a game [on Sunday] but they let us take him early as there was a worry that someone would take him if we waited too long.
“He’ll be back with us during the week.”
