Tav hopes to play his part in Dons revival

Loanee talks exclusively to REDDOT...

7 February 2018

Marcus Tavernier has settled well into life at Stadium MK and now the on-loan midfielder hopes to help MK Dons climb the Sky Bet League One table.

Tavernier, who joined the Dons from Middlesbrough on a deal until the end of the season, has featured in every match since his arrival and has impressed with his performances.

Now fully accustomed to the Club, the 18-year-old hopes to kick on and help the side move out of the relegation zone.

“I’ve settled in really well,” he said in an exclusive interview with REDDOT. “We’ve got a really good team here and have really a good coaching staff too – I’m really enjoying it at the moment.

“The results haven’t gone our way but I’m sure things will turn around as we start to understand what the new manager needs and what he wants from us. You can see on the pitch that we are doing the right things – it’s just a matter of time before it clicks, in my opinion.

“It’s up to us to make that come sooner rather than later, though, otherwise we’ll be under pressure and that’s not what we need. We need to be positive in this situation otherwise negative thoughts can change the mind-set.

“We all believe we can stay up, we just need to keep believing that we can.”
