All you need to know ahead of today's Sky Bet League One clash at Fleetwood Town...

24 February 2018

MK Dons make the trip to Fleetwood Town this afternoon as they look to build upon Wednesday’s draw with Rochdale.

The Dons are still looking for their first win under Dan Micciche, however, they did pick up their first point under the new manager at The Crown Oil Arena on Wednesday night. The 0-0 draw stopped the rot of five consecutive defeats in as many games for the Dons and gives Micciche's side a much needed boost heading into today's clash.

The Dons currently occupy the third relegation spot, five points off safety, a gap the could be reduced to two points should the men from MK1 overcome Fleetwood Town.

Kick-Off is 3.00pm.

Fleetwood Town head into this afternoon's clash having lost their last eight competitive fixtures. After last Saturday's 3-0 defeat against Doncaster, Uwe Rosler was relieved of his duties with the North West club appointing John Sheridan earlier in the week.

Sheridan's job is simple - keep Fleetwood Town in Sky Bet League One. His takes over a squad that is full of experienced individuals including Cian Bolger, who was named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Season last year. Elsewhere, Paddy Madden was added to the ranks in January and adds firepower alongside Jordi Hiwula and Ashley Hunter.

In defence, club legend Nathan Pond is still going strong while Lewie Coyle and Ashley Eastham are two notable names within the Football League. Midfielders Wes Burns and Kyle Dempsey are also a duo to keep your eyes on.

MK Dons put an end to their run of defeats by taking a point from their Sky Bet League One clash with Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena.

Dan Micciche's men had chances to leave victorious but were denied by Josh Lillis and a stubborn Dale defence.

Fleetwood Town fell to an eight straight loss in all competitions on Tuesday night as they were beaten 2-1 by Portsmouth.

Goals either side of each half from Jamal Lowe and Oliver Hawkins gave Pompey a 2-0 lead, and despite Conor McAleny's late stunner – Town tasted the familiar feeling of defeat.

Dons trio Chuks Aneke, Osman Sow and Peter Paulette travelled up north on Thursday to join up and train with the rest of the squad.

Ed Upson remains unavailable as he serves the second game of his two-match suspension following his tenth booking of the season against Charlton. There is some good news for the Dons though, as Ethan Ebanks-Landell is once again available for selection.

Alex Gilbey [knee], Joe Walsh [knee] and Scott Golbourne [hip] remain sidelined long-term, with only the latter expected back before the end of the season.

Eddie Ilderton will referee the Dons this afternoon - he last officiated the Dons back in November during their 2-1 defeat with Doncaster.

The Tyne and Wear born-official has taken charge of 20 matches this season, in total, he has produced 59 yellow cards and six reds.

His assistant referees today are Gary Hilton and Paul Newhouse Taylor while the fourth official is Andrew Miller.
