Paul Tisdale held his pre-match press conference this Thursday – here’s all the subjects he covered.
On Jordan Moore-Taylor...
"Jordan looks as fit as he ever does but he has an issue that will take a week or two to resolve. We're not overly worried, but it's a mid-season niggle we hope he's back from soon. Everyone has their problems – every club has a player missing. It forces us to adjust and organise ourselves differently but hopefully, he will be back soon.
On Chuks Aneke...
"Chuks has a minor niggle so there's every chance he could be back soon. We're keeping an optimistic view for Saturday."
On Rhys Healey...
"Rhys took a few big tackles, but I hope he will be back. But it's mid-season, players come back in black and blue, pitches deteriorate, the weather chances, the play isn't as structured, and we have to be a robust squad and one with depth. We've got the challenge of accommodating injured players."
On Lawson D'Ath...
"Generally, Lawson is fit, he trained this week so I don't expect a problem there."
On Newport County...
"They're doing really well. Michael has them well organised, with a clarity as to how they attack and defend. It's a difficult place to play, I've been there many times. The facilities have improved there in the last year or two, they have a fabulous new pitch, and it's a club on the up. They look like a team that will have a chance of playing for the play-offs. We have to be really careful, and they have great home form. It will be a really good challenge for us."
