Sam Nombe helped loan club Oxford City make it four wins in a row on Tuesday evening.
Nombe played 84 minutes for City, who beat East Thurrock United 3-1 at Court Place Farm to climb up to 10th in the National League South table and move to within a point of the play-off places.
The striker, who has scored three goals in 10 appearances since returning to Oxford City on loan, didn’t find the net on Tuesday but did see fellow MK Dons Academy graduate Kabongo Tshimanga bag a brace.
Nombe and Oxford City are in FA Trophy action this weekend as they travel to York Road to face Maidenhead United.
Also in action on Tuesday night was defender Finn Tapp, whose Staines Town side were beaten by Dorchester Town in their Evo-Stik League Premier Division South clash at Weatsheaf Park.
Tapp has played four times for the Swans since joining the Surrey club on loan last month. He will be looking to add to that total when Staines Town travel to Frome Town this Saturday.
Brandon Thomas-Asante and Sutton United weren’t in action on Tuesday evening. They next take to the field at the weekend when they visit Bromley in the FA Trophy.
