Stadium MK switch a ‘no-brainer’ for Baily

Defender relishing his Stadium MK adventure…

7 August 2018

Having spent the formative years of his career at Bournemouth, Baily Cargill departed his boyhood Club for pastures new this Summer as he signed a permanent deal with MK Dons.

The defender progressed through the youth ranks at The Vitality Stadium before spending time on loan with the likes of Coventry City, Fleetwood Town and most recently Partick Thistle.

Now, Cargill has a new permanent home in Stadium MK – a place he’s hoping to help push back up the English Football League pyramid.

“I’m really excited to be here,” the 23-year-old told iFollow MK Dons

“I think it’s a great Club that is looking to go back in the right direction – hopefully, I can be a part of that process.

“I’ve known a few lads that have played here and everyone has spoken really highly of the place and the Club. I think once the interest came about and I met the manager – it was a no-brainer.”

He added, “It’s a lovely Stadium, the whole place is very impressive. It’s an amazing place with great facilities and hopefully, we can bring back the winning ways here.”

The defender also spoke highly of those in his position already at the Club and gave the fans an insight as to the type of player he is.

“The less we concede the more likely we are to win. It’s healthy to have competition and once you’re in you need to make sure you’re playing well to keep your spot.

“I like to think I’m a ball playing defender, I’m left-footed and I like to try and pass it as much as I can – I’d like to think I’m quite dominant in the air too. I really enjoy playing and will give everything for the shirt.”
