Baily enjoying life under Paul Tisdale

Defender talks working with Paul Tisdale and making his debut…

Having signed on at Stadium MK at the start of August, Baily Cargill has been an MK Dons player for just over two-weeks.

The defender made his debut for the Club in the 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night and looked assured and confident throughout.

Cargill spoke highly of Paul Tisdale following the final whistle and believes the manager is the perfect man to help improve his game.

“I really like Tis – he’s a great coach and a great manager,” the 23-year-old told iFollow MK Dons.

“I think he has a lot of detail about his coaching and as a player, I really appreciate that. I think he’s going to make me a better player for sure.

“He’s all about winning games and improving players, that’s perfect for me because I’m still young and there is room for improvement in my game.”

The Cup clash also saw Academy Graduate’s David Kasumu and Dylan Asonganyi play 90-minutes with the latter scoring his first professional goal.

Cargill believes the competition provides players with the chance to impress while also earning invaluable minutes.

“I think the Cup is a good opportunity for the lads that aren’t in the team - like myself and we also saw Dylan come in and do really well.  It gives the young lads a chance to come in and show Tis what they are about.

“To get 60-minutes was good for me as I’ve not really had much of a pre-season. It was good to get some minutes in and learn how people play - it was a good run out.”

Cargill added, “I’ve had a bit of a tough pre-season, I came here having not really had any minutes or training under my but the Club have been brilliant with me.

“I’ve been doing extra runs and that managed to get me through today but there is still room for improvement in my fitness and in my game.”
