MK Dons youngster Ryan Holmes captained Wales Under-14s and scored in their friendly with Newport County Under-16s.
The young forward donned the armband for the entire match, which finished 2-2 at Dragon Park.
Holmes’ ability in front of goal was on display as he scored on 48 minutes while also showed his versatility by playing he final quarter of an hour in central midfield.
While Ryan returns to Milton Keynes, his older brother James heads to Wales to join up with the Under-16s squad for a two day Training Camp.
The striker, who made his debut for Wales in a friendly tournament in Greece earlier this year, will spend two days with the squad in Newport.
