Ed expects turnaround

Midfielder is confident MK Dons can find their form...

Ed Upson isn’t hiding from the fact MK Dons have endured a tough start to the 2017/18 season but the midfielder is confident the team can turn it around.

The men from MK1 have just three points to their name after four Sky Bet League One matches so will be looking to increase that total during the month of September, starting against Oxford United.

“It’s been a tough start and we haven’t had the results we’d have wanted just yet,” Upson told REDDOT ahead of the match at Stadium MK.

“It’s a long season and no season is won or lost in the first month so there is plenty of time to get back on track.

“We’re a new team with a bunch of new players so it’s going to take a little bit of time for us to gel and get into that mode where everything is clicking. Once it does, I think we’ll be okay because we’ve got some good players.

“If we can continue to develop that camaraderie here and couple that with the talent we have in the squad, I think we can go a long way – I think we’re getting there.”

Read more from Upson in today's edition of REDDOT which will be available to buy from the Box Office and sellers around the ground ahead of kick-off, priced at £3.

The midfielder discusses how well he’s settling into life as a Milton Keynes resident, his sporting icon and his goals for the 2017/18 campaign.
