Academy graduate recognised internationally for the first time...

Callum Brittain has earned international recognition for the first time having been called-up to the England Under-20s squad.

The young defender, who has enjoyed an excellent start to the 2017/18 season at club level, is included in Keith Downing’s 21-man squad for the fixtures with Italy and Czech Republic.

The Young Lions travel to Gorgonzola for the clash with the Azzurrini on Thursday 5th October before hosting the Czechs at St. George’s Park on Tuesday 10th.

Full-back Brittain has made eight first-team appearances for the Dons so far this campaign and scored his first senior goal in the 1-1 draw with Oxford United.

He is one of three new faces in the England Under-20s squad, which also includes former Dons loanee Harvey Barnes who is now on loan at Barnsley from Leicester City.
