MK Dons Ladies starlet Abbie Roberts has helped England Under-17s progress through to the final round of qualifying for the European Championships.
Roberts joined up with her national side earlier this month and was part of a Young Lionesses squad which won three out of three matches – John Griffiths side scored 19 times and didn’t concede a goal as they cruised through to next spring’s elite qualifying round.
In other international news, Girls Regional Talent Club recently received four call-ups to the England Women’s Under-15s squad.
Current Under-14s Ellie Sargeant, Lucy O’Brien, as well as Under-16s player Molly Lemon, will spend time with Head Coach Lydia Bedford’s squad for a training camp. Lemon’s Under-16s team-mate Amalie Newman-Booth is on standby, as is goalkeeper Maisie Thompson.
