Robbie Neilson’s men travel to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday afternoon as they look to extend their unbeaten run.
"We’ve had a decent run so far.” Neilson said in his pre-match press conference. “Obviously, we’d like to have picked up a few more points but to go five unbeaten is good.
“It’s a big, big game on Saturday and we can finish off a good month with three points against Doncaster."
He added: “We know it’ll be a tough game, at a good stadium with a great atmosphere, but we’re going there to put in a good performance and hopefully take three points.”
Here’s what else we learnt from Neilson’s pre-match press conference.
Chuks Aneke impressing in absence of Osman Sow...
“With Osman Sow being out injured, Chuks has had to step up to the plate. He’s being managed training-wise and we’re trying to get him as much game time as we can at the moment but again it’s a balancing act for him - he’s still finding his fitness at the moment.”
Welcoming back the suspended players...
“Ed Upson, George Williams and Ethan Ebanks-Landell are three key players for us. They’ve all played a lot of football for us this year - it’s great to get them back in the side.
“You want all your players to be available - they’ll be fresh for Saturday and that gives us good competition for places.”
Doncaster Rovers are a dangerous side...
“They are very dangerous team at home. They usually play a 352 or 343 formation, it’s a different system to most teams and it’s interesting to watch. They’ll look to move the ball about and get it into their numbers 10s.
“I’ve never met Darren Ferguson, but he’s got great experience and he’s managed a lot of good teams and has had a lot of success.”
Consistency in selection...
“I think the consistency of selection and availability of players has made it extremely difficult for us this year. I think we’ve only had two players that have been available for every game a lot of them have been out for three or four weeks at a time.
“We had Ed Upson, Alex Gilbey and [Ousseynou] Cisse get an understanding of each other and one of them gets injured. We also waited a long time to get [Osman] Sow and Aneke together – they got 15 minutes together and Sow is then out for 6 weeks.
“It has been a stop-start season but when you look at the league most teams have had that. The key will be getting everyone fit and keeping a consistent team and consistent performances.”
Three home games can help build momentum...
“It’s important we pick up points at Stadium MK. The fans all come here so we need to send them home happy.
“It’s all about trying to build momentum and a relationship with the fans that come to Stadium MK as they expect to see goals and wins from the team. First and foremost we have to take care of Saturday and after that, it’s three home games in which we hope we can pick up maximum points and get through in the Emirates FA Cup and Checkatrade Trophy too.”
