Aneke looking to maintain positive attitude

Forward previews Hyde United clash...

3 November 2017

Chuks Aneke feels MK Dons should go into every game, no matter who the opposition, with the belief that they can come out on top.

The popular forward has started the last three Sky Bet League One games and should he keep his place against Hyde United - the 24-year-old will enter to tie with an upbeat mindset.

“We should go into every match - be it a small team or a big team, the league or the Emirates FA Cup - with a positive attitude,” he said in his pre-match interview.

He added: “I think it’s just another game - another game we can go out and win. We should be going to Hyde United with the positive attitude that we go into every game with.”

After failing to pick up maximum points in their last five Sky Bet League One games, Aneke commented on how the Emirates FA Cup could kick-start the Dons' league form.

“Obviously results in the league are not going how we want them to go, so the game has come at a good time.

“Hopefully, we can get a couple of good results against Hyde and Oxford [United] to get some confidence before going again in the league against Fleetwood [Town]."

The forward continued: “I’m hoping that I’m involved and hopeful that the team and I can get some goals so we can rebuild some confidence back into the side.

Aneke also took the time to praise the ability within the MK Dons changing room.

“We’ve got a good side here and I believe with some confidence we can do something good.

“Everyone wants to win games and everyone in that changing room is a winner so of course, we are feeling it a bit.”

He concluded: “We just want to win as many games as possible - starting with Hyde United.”
