In his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture with Fleetwood Town, Robbie Neilson confirmed that Aaron Tshibola has returned to Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old featured 16 times and scored one goal during his time with the Dons.
Neilson said, “We had a chat with Aaron earlier in the week and decided to send him back to Villa. We both felt it wasn’t working out the way we hoped.
“I felt it was a better opportunity for the younger players in the squad like Conor McGrandles, Giorgio Rasulo, Hugo Logan, and Brandon Thomas-Asante to get the game time they deserve from their performances in training and for the Under-23s.”
He added, “We wish Aaron all the best - he’s a good kid and hopefully he can push on back at Aston Villa.”
The Club would like to thank Aaron for his contribution and wish him all the best in the future.
