Neilson vows to bring variety to squad

10 May 2017

Manager Robbie Neilson has revealed that is looking to add different types of players to the Dons squad ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Neilson wants his squad to be ‘competitive and hungry’ as he prepares for his first full campaign in charge at Stadium MK.

“We’ve got our main targets and we are working really hard to get those,” the 36-year-old told MK Dons PlayerHD.

“We have to try and make the most of our budget and we have to bring some variety so we can play different ways.

“We’re in talks with a few players. The ones coming in won’t all be first-team starters - we want to try and get a balance to the squad.

“We need to build a squad that’s competitive and hungry but is within budget.”
