Challenge Progress winner drives away new Suzuki!

11 May 2017

Season Ticket holder Kevin Molloy drove away his brand new Suzuki Ignis on Thursday afternoon.

Kevin was crowned champion of Progress Suzuki’s half-time challenge after coming out on top in the final at the last home game of the season against Sheffield United.

Since the start of the campaign, Season Ticket holders have been battling it out to claim the prize by competing in a series of challenges such as Shoot the Boot, Crossbar Challenge and Penalty Shoot-Out.

Seven entrants made it through the final including East Wing Season Ticket holder Kevin, who booked his place after hitting crossbar at half-time during the Dons’ clash with Swindon Town back in December.

“I’m thrilled, over the moon, stunned, excited – all the emotions you can think of. It’s fantastic!” Kevin told mkdons.com.

“Surprisingly, when I was first selected to take part, I had a sixth sense that I was going to win – I don’t know why, it was just one of those weird feelings!

“My first event was Crossbar Challenge and I hit it on the third attempt. I thought I was going to go straight through to the final but so many people did well and got through.

“Luckily I came through the semi-final but my nerves, like with everyone else, were there in the final. I had a little practice the day before in the local park and it paid off!”

He added: “I’ve been lucky enough to play on the pitch before but I still got the real thrill in front of all the fans, which included a massive following from Sheffield United. The sun was shining, the pitch was perfect and it was just fantastic!

“As well as winning the car, I also got a signed football from the Club and that was a great treat. What Progress Suzuki have done is brilliant – I can’t thank them enough.”
