Nicky Maynard wants to be greedier in the final third, as he looks to add to his triple-figure goal tally before the end of the season.
“I want to be a little greedier in front of goal,” Maynard told REDDOT ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League One clash with Rochdale at Stadium MK.
“Whether I’m inside the 18-yards box or 20-yards out, if I get a sight on goal I want to start having more of a go.
“I’ve got in my locker to score from distance so hopefully I can get a few more goals before the season is out.”
He added: “I never go into a game thinking that I’m not going to score. I’ve just to keep working hard to create opportunities to get shots at goal.”
You can read more from Maynard in Saturday’s edition of REDDOT, which will be available from sellers around Stadium MK at a price of £3.
As well as desire to become more consistent in front of goal, Maynard also reflects on reaching the 100-goal milestone as well as discusses the importance of family ahead of the Club’s Family Fun Day event which takes place around this weekend’s game.
