MK50 Sport Gala Dinner - nominate your unsung hero

Still time to put forward your unsung hero ahead of celebratory evening at Stadium MK...

13 June 2017

MK Dons SET are asking supporters to nominate their ‘unsung hero’ ahead of the MK50 Sport Gala dinner later this month...

If you know somebody at a local sports club that often goes unnoticed but deserves a reward for their hard work and service, then it’s not too late to put them forward to win the Unsung Hero award.

To nominate, explain in no more than 250 words why your chosen candidate should win and send it in an email to mk50sport@mkdonsset.com.

Successful hero nominees will be entered into a ballot to win a free place at the event.

The Gala Dinner, sponsored by Sports Direct International, will take place in the ballroom at Stadium MK on the evening of Thursday 29th June.

The evening will not only celebrate MK’s International sporting achievers and renowned local sporting celebrities, but also grass roots stars and many unsung sporting heroes. It’s a true ‘across the board’ celebration of sporting achievement in Milton Keynes.

Hosts for the evening are Olympic medallist Gail Emms and BBC sports commentator Luke Ashmead. They’ll guide guests through each sporting decade, from 1967 to 2017, showing archive footage and introducing the stars and heroes from each era. There will be lots of opportunity to hear and share sporting stories and to meet some local sports stars.

There are still tickets available to attend the Gala Dinner. To book contact mk50sport@mkdonsset.com.
