Robbie Neilson was full of praise for two of his goalscorers in last weekend’s win over Northampton Town, including debutant Harvey Barnes.
“I was really pleased with him,” Neilson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “He did exactly what I thought he would.
“He’s still got to improve in some defensive aspects in the game but technically, when he had the ball, and with his movement he was fantastic.
“It’s always good when a player signs and they score within three or four minutes. It will help the rest of the lads buy into him – same goes for Robbie (Muirhead), who came on and showed his energy and pace.”
Neilson said of his forward: “He’s one of the main players for us and he put in a good performance.
Another player who received a special mention from the manager was Chuks Aneke following his brace and dominant performance as part of a front-three.
