O'Keefe keen to make an impact

3 February 2017

Deadline Day signing Stuart O’Keefe is looking to help MK Dons climb the Sky Bet League One table during his time at Stadium MK.

O’Keefe became Robbie Neilson’s fourth and final January signing when he joined on loan from Cardiff City in the final hour of the transfer window.

He brings with him a wealth of experience having made 66 appearances in the Sky Bet Championship and a further 14 in the Premier League – the central midfielder hopes he can provide a boost to a resurgent Dons side.

“Hopefully I can assist in a few areas and help MK Dons move up the table,” O’Keefe told MK Dons PlayerHD on his first day at Stadium MK.

“It’s easier to come in when you join a team who are winning games and playing well - hopefully we can keep that going and have a really good push between now and the end of the season.”

“I came in (on Thursday), met the boys and spoke to the manager. I’m ready to get going – I’m looking forward to it.”

“When I heard Milton Keynes were interested, I saw it as a good opportunity to go and play some football and enjoy myself until the end of the season – there is a good stadium and the team are playing good football with a good, young manager in charge.

O’Keefe made 19 league starts for Cardiff last season but has limited to just three in 2016/17, which is why a move to Stadium MK was so attractive for the 25-year-old.
