MK Dons SET up for MKBAA award

9 February 2017

MK Dons Sport and Education Trust have been shortlisted for a Milton Keynes Business Achievement award.

MK Dons SET are into the final three for the Community Impact award alongside Willen Hospice and Milton Keynes College.

The SET, who celebrate their 10th anniversary this November, continually engaged with over 50,000 people a year, offering life-changing programmes in departments such as education, social inclusion, health and wellbeing, girls and women’s football and community delivery.

John Cove, Chief Executive of the Trust, said: “This is brilliant news. We are going to be celebrating our 10th year in Milton Keynes in November and to be in the finals is a fantastic achievement.

“To be recognised for the great work we deliver within Milton Keynes is humbling and it would be such a great honour to win the award outright.”

Chair of the Trust Simon Ingram also commented: ‘“The recognition of the SET’s work in this manner is a testament to all the staff and volunteers who work hard on a daily basis in order to give people of all ages the best opportunity to lead happy, productive and healthy lives.”

The winner will be announced on Thursday 9th March.
