David Martin believes Tuesday’s clash with Bradford City is set up nicely after the recent success over Shrewsbury Town.
“To get back to winning ways and to get the three points was important,” Martin told MK Dons PlayerHD.
“Shrewsbury have been on a good run so we knew it was always going to be a difficult game. We didn’t get the clean sheet, which we’re a little annoyed about, but we got the three points and that gives you a good platform to build from."
“We’ve been longing for that performance,” the goalkeeper said. “We’ve been doing alright but not really doing any damage so it was pleasing that every time we went forward it looked like we were going to score.
Martin was merely a spectator in the first half of Saturday’s victory over Shrewsbury, watching on as a ruthless Dons side built up an early two-goal lead – one which they wouldn’t surrender.
