Andrew Osei-Bonsu came off the bench to inspire Corby Town to an important victory over Mickleover Sports.
Osei-Bonsu was introduced during the second-half of Saturday’s Evo-Stik League Northern Premier Division clash and played his part in the 1-0 win which lifts the Steelmen out of the relegation places.
Ben Milnes grabbed Corby’s winning goal on 69 minutes, smashing home from the edge of the area after David Bell’s free-kick was only half-cleared.
Osei-Bonsu provided Milnes with a chance to double his lead later in the half but he missed the target with an effort from the Dons’ youngster’s cross.
Next up for the Steelmen is a tough trip to Evo-Stik League Northern Premier Division play-off hopefuls Nantwich Town this coming Saturday.
