What to look out for ahead of Saturday’s clash...

21 December 2017

mkdons.com details the storylines to follow heading into this Saturday’s clash at The New York Stadium.

Former Dons

Currently amidst the Rotherham ranks are a number MK Dons alumni. Firstly, Darren Potter, who joined The Millers in the Summer, will be desperate to be fit come Saturday having not featured for Rotherham since December 2nd. The midfielder featured over 200 times for the Dons over a six-year stay at Stadium MK and is remembered fondly by the Dons faithful.

The South Yorkshire outfit also boast two former MK Dons loanees in the shape of Shaun Cummings and Johnson Clarke-Harris. The former spent a full season on loan from Chelsea in 2008 while Clarke-Harris featured five times in his short-term loan in 2015. Elsewhere, Lewis Price featured three times for the Dons during his spell with the club.

Off the field, former MK Dons Assistant and Interim Manager Richie Barker will be barking orders from the touchline as Rotherham’s Assistant Manager. Barker who had a two-year stint with the Dons signed on at his former club in May 2017.

Building on recent performances

Despite taking two points from a possible six against Shrewsbury and Scunthorpe, manager Robbie Neilson will be more than pleased with the performances against the promotion hopefuls.

Shrewsbury earned a share of the spoils thanks to a Goal of the Season contender while Scunthorpe had Matt Gilks to thank after his heroic performance between the sticks.

Robbie Neilson will be hoping to maintain the high level of performances in recent weeks and pick some an early Christmas present in the form of three points.
