Ryan: Dons determined to get off the mark

Striker sets sights on first three points of the season...

Ryan Seager is confident things will soon begin to click for MK Dons, who go in search of their first Sky Bet League One win on Saturday.

The men from MK1 are one of nine teams in the division without a victory to their name after the opening two games of the campaign but loanee Seager is hopeful that won’t be the case after this weekend’s visit of Gillingham.

“We haven’t made the best of starts but we’re only two games in and I’m sure we can turn it around,” Seager said in an exclusive interview with REDDOT ahead of Saturday’s game.

“Sheffield United only had one point after four games last season and look what they went on to do!

“We’re confident we can challenge at the top of the table.”

The 21-year-old added: “There are a lot of new players here so it’s going to take time for us to gel. Once that happens, I think we’ll start creating more chances and I’m confident me and my teammates can take those when they come along.”

Read the full interview with Seager in Saturday’s edition of REDDOT, which will be available from sellers around Stadium MK and the Box Office for £3.

The Southampton loanee discusses his aims for the 2017/18, which teammate he once watched as a fan and what sport he’d be involved in if he wasn’t a footballer.

Elsewhere in the edition is an explanation from Andrew Cullen on international transfers, a column from Season Ticket holder Sheila Forgham, a special social media post and a recap of the goings on in the Academy and Ladies teams.
