Debut delight for Sow

Osman Sow enjoyed a dream debut on Saturday but the striker was keen to praise the entire team for the victory over Gillingham.

The men from MK1 picked up their first Sky Bet League One victory of the campaign courtesy of a 1-0 triumph at Stadium MK, with Sow’s 47th-minute diving header proving the difference.

And while pleased to be the match-winner on his Dons bow, the 27-year-old believes the whole team played their part in the result.

“Three points and off the mark – I’m happy with that,” Sow told iFollow MK Dons. “I think our team did really well. We battled through the 90 minutes and injury time – everybody deserved the win.

“It’s a massive result. We just need to recover now, then go again and hopefully get some more wins.”

Sow lasted an hour in his first appearance since May and the forward believes he’ll get stronger as he adds more minutes to his belt.

“It was good to get on the pitch. It was my first 60 minutes in a while so I need to get some more minutes under my belt to get up to my top speed.

“It was good to play and now I’m looking forward to playing more and getting sharper.”
