Jackson returns to action for Hemel

24 April 2017

Oran Jackson returned from injury to play 90 minutes for Hemel Hempstead Town in their National League South clash with Truro City.

The young defender was included in the Tudors’ starting XI for the trip to Cornwall but couldn’t prevent his loan club avoiding a 2-1 reverse at Treyew Road.

Hemel opened the scoring 28 minutes in but goals from Naill Thompson and Andrew Neal saw them fall to defeat – one which prevented the Hertfordshire club climbing into the top 10.

Next up for Jackson & Co is their season finale with Weston-super-Mare on Saturday afternoon.

Connor Furlong was also in loan action at the weekend, coming off the bench to help Oxford City beat Margate in their final home match of the campaign.

Experienced striker Jefferson Louis scored the decisive goal for City, who did go close to seeing their advantage extended late on when Furlong produced a save out of Margate keeper Valery Pajetat.

Oxford City close out their 2016/17 campaign away at title-contenders Ebbsfleet United on Saturday.
