Ed Upson was disappointed MK Dons couldn’t end their home campaign on a positive note but hopes they can bounce back in their season finale against Walsall.
“It’s been a good second half of the season and we can be pleased with that but it’s disappointing to end (the home campaign) in that way,” the midfielder told MK Dons PlayerHD.
Upson added: “We now need to go to Walsall and put in a good performance to take us into next season.”
“We lost to a very good team who deserve to be champions and were the better team on the day.”
The 27-year-old said: “Mid-table is nowhere near where we wanted to be at the start of the season but from how it’s ended up a top-half finish would be a good way to end the campaign.”
A victory on Sunday at the Banks’s Stadium would see the Dons secure a top-half finish in Sky Bet League One and although that is far from the target set back in the summer, it would still be a decent achievement according to Upson.
