Williams involved in Wales’ World Cup success

6 September 2016

George C Williams was involved in Wales’ opening World Cup qualifier with Moldova on Monday evening.

The loanee was among the substitutes as Chris Coleman’s men got their campaign off to a flying start with a 4-0 win at the Cardiff City stadium.

Sam Vokes and Joe Allen put Wales two goals ahead in the first half before Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale bagged a second-half brace to seal an impressive opening win.

The victory puts Wales top of Group D on goal difference ahead of Austria. They travel to Vienna for their next World Cup qualifier in October.

Williams will now return to Stadium MK ahead of Saturday's trip to Sky Bet League One leaders Bolton Wanderers.
