Scott undergoes successful surgery

8 September 2016

Scott Wootton underwent successful knee surgery on Wednesday afternoon in London.

The operation was to repair Wootton’s anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus – he suffered the injury during the second half of MK Dons’ Checkatrade Trophy tie with Barnet at Stadium MK.

Wootton will remain in hospital until Friday but will return home for the weekend. He’ll report to Stadium MK next week to continue his rehabilitation, which began immediately after the operation.

Head of Sports Medicine Simon Crampton told mkdons.com: “Scott’s operation was performed by a top surgeon in London and I’m pleased to report that it was successful and everything went to plan.

“Karl (Robinson) and I will be going to visit him on Friday. The plan is for him to come into Stadium MK next week to continue his rehabilitation under the guidance of the medical team.

“Scott has a long road ahead of him but we are confident he will make a full recovery.”

He continued: “I’d like to thank Adam Ross for his help in supporting Scott this week.”
