Karl Robinson is confident his MK Dons squad is coming together, as they look to return to winning ways at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
“The mentality of the group over the last two weeks has been good,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD.
“The players’ efforts and intensity in training is outstanding. They are leaving nothing on the training pitch and are giving it everything they possibly can – I can’t ask for anymore.
In order to gain a long-awaited success, the men from MK1 will look to draw inspiration from the 3-0 victory enjoyed on their last visit to Fleetwood back in April 2014 – a win that kept them on the path to promotion.
“There is positivity flowing through them at the moment. That positivity is great on the training pitch but it’s meaningless if it doesn’t turn up on a Saturday afternoon.”
“The style is slowly coming through and the partnerships are starting to build. This team is going to get better – I’m excited for where this team can go.
“The most important thing, though, is the here and now and these players are really motivated and fully focused on the challenge.”
“We had a great result last time we went there,” Robinson recalled. “There were some excellent performances that day – I remember the wonder goal that Dele scored, which was typical him, and Griggy finished off one of the best team goals we scored that year. Tickets for the clash at Fleetwood can be bought at Highbury Stadium ahead of kick-off - tickets are priced from £21.50 adults, £16.50 seniors, £10 students/under-18s, £5 under-16s, while under-5s go FREE.
