George Baldock says he and his MK Dons team-mates are eager to put smiles back on the supporters’ faces.
“Fair play to (the fans) because it must be hard seeing your club losing to local rivals two weeks in a row,” Baldock told MK Dons PlayerHD. “The boys can’t wait to put smiles back on their faces.
“There’s no midweek game so we can pick the bones out of (the Northampton game) and try to change this mindset, then hopefully we can go into Bolton and try and get a victory.”
“We need to stand up and be counted.”
“We need to get round each other and work really hard to put it right. We need to be more ruthless when we attack and when we defend. We need to be harder to break down as well.
“To be 3-0 down after 30 minutes is inexcusable. We need to learn from it and quickly because we can’t keep giving ourselves a mountain to climb.
Sunday’s defeat at Sixfields was largely down to the three goals conceded inside the first half an hour – something which can’t keep happening according to Baldock.
