Dons recognised at Sport and Leisure Catering Awards

14 September 2016

MK Dons were recognised for their innovation at Tuesday night’s Sport and Leisure Catering Awards.

The Dons and their Supporters Catering Interaction scheme were among the four nominees for the Innovation award alongside The London Eye, Ascot and ODEON at Whiteleys, who were the eventual winners on the night.

The Supporters Catering Interaction scheme has helped increase sales and improve engagement with home and away supporters at Stadium MK, with campaigns such as Feed the Fans, which offers supporters using the Club’s official coach travel a free breakfast; Away Fans’ Pie of the Game and the Disabled pledge, a full in-seat service to disabled fans.

This recognition comes just months after the Dons’ assistant public catering manager Sophie Standen has named Star For The Future gong at the Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2016.

That evening, the Dons were shortlisted in three other categories - Operations Team of the Year Award, Best Sales or Marketing Initiative Award and Directors Choice Award.
