Defenders Joe Walsh and Georbe B Williams react to MK Dons' frustrating 1-0 defeat to Port Vale at Stadium MK...
“I don’t think we need to change anything, I think it will come. We just need to keep doing the same things. It’s just the little mistakes and that’s costing us at the moment. I’m sure we’ll cut those mistakes out and the results will come at home.”On maintaining good performances…
“It was frustrating. We can’t get too down about it because there’s still a long, long way to go in the season. I’m 100 percent sure we’ll change the results here at home and also keep winning away and picking up points.”
On frustrating loss…
JOE WALSH
On his role in helping the team stay positive…
“We felt comfortable at the back, just like we do most games. We went behind early on and they sit everyone behind the ball. It’s hard for us to break down, it’s hard for anyone to break any team down when they’ve got 11 men behind the ball. I’m sure the results will come and fortunes will change.”
On defensive display…
“You look at the performance and it was really good. If we were playing badly then we might have something to really worry about. it will come, we’re all together and behind the gaffer. We’re sticking together and I’m sure the wins will come.”
On sticking together…
“It’s gutting to lose, especially as I thought we did so well. We dominated the game and started well. It’s just that first goal. If we get it, it’s a completely different game, they’ve got to come at us and open up. They got it and stuck everyone behind the ball and it was hard to break down.”
On the defeat…
GEORGE B WILLIAMS
“Last season I was at Barnsley and we were bottom of the table come Christmas time and then ended up getting promoted. We just need to stick together, keep playing the way we are and I’m sure the results will come.”
On remaining positive…
“I hope George gets back soon. He’s a good player and we need him around. At the minute it’s a chance for to me to play which I’m happy about but I really want to win and it’s just so frustrating come away without anything today.”
On recent playing time…
“I felt we were solid defensively as a team. They didn’t really trouble Dave that much. It’s just that first goal, it’s so crucial.”
