Molly Braves the Shave!

19 October 2016

MK Dons Sport and Education Trust (SET) employee Molly-Ann Redman ‘braved the shave’ on Tuesday evening in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Molly, MK Dons SET’s football development administrator, participated in the ‘Brave the Shave’ challenge pitchside at Stadium MK, during half-time of the Sky Bet League One clash with Bristol Rovers.

The challenge saw Molly’s head shaved clean, with the aim to raise money and awareness for the Macmillan charity, who provide specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

“Cancer has had a big affect on my family – I lost my gran to the disease recently and my aunt is currently fighting breast cancer,” Molly told mkdons.com.

“With it being close to my heart, I thought this would be a good way of raising money and awareness. I have a lot of hair but I want to stand up and show the losing your hair is nothing to be embarrassed about.

“I’ve made my auntie cry about 10 times already!”

She continued: “I’m looking to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan. They are a brilliant charity who help so many people – they have helped both my aunt and my gran.

“I’ve had fantastic support from everyone. My family and friends have been great and really supportive in getting the word out there.”
