Kieran keen to keep winning

6 October 2016

Kieran Agard has been among the goals in recent weeks and the striker is keen to continue doing his bit to help MK Dons pick up victories.

Agard scored the Dons’ second goal in their 2-0 triumph at Oldham Athletic last weekend and the summer signing followed that headed finish up by netting the match-winner in Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy victory at Peterborough United.

“I’m always happy to score goals because that’s what I love doing, but most importantly we’ve won and that’s what I’m most happy with,” Agard said after Saturday’s success at SportsDirect.com Park.

“To show that bounce back attitude is important - it’s something we’re going to need this season.

The Dons showed great character at Oldham to bounce back from a disappointing home defeat to Bury and Agard believes that display of resilience is important.

“We’ve just to keep doing what we’re doing and take each game as it comes. We’ll prepare right and dig in each week on the training pitch and hopefully we’ll get up that table.”

“It’s a massive three points for us – credit to the team and the staff, we stuck to our game plan and it paid off.”

“The gaffer and coaches have installed that in us and it showed here. We prepared right and we didn’t let our heads drop from Tuesday. We got on with it, worked hard all week and got our just rewards.
