Karl Robinson believes his MK Dons side thoroughly deserved their 2-0 victory over Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
“We were very good in both halves, we dominated the game and we deserved all three points,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “It was a good performance on the road.
“We know where we can improve – there are certain elements of today that could be better but that’s me striving for perfection and not just accepting decent performances.
“Oldham is always a difficult place to come – the crowd is always intense and everything about the place makes it hard to play so to get three points is pleasing.”
He continued: “We’re only two points outside the play-offs. We’d be sat very comfortably in them if we’d have took our chances at home in recent weeks. Stadium MK is the place we want to play – we have the best stadium in the league and we want to turn it into a fortress now.”
“A mention for Richie (Barker) and all the backroom staff who worked so hard to put the preparation together, got the team recovered right and got them fit for the game. The team behind me are so important – I’m just a small cog in this whole Football Club.
While Robinson was full of praise for his supporters following the win, the Liverpudlian also reserved a special mention for his backroom staff, who also played their part in the victory.

He added: “We wear our badge with pride in the stands and on the pitch. That unity and that togetherness will lead us to many more victories, I’m sure.”
“Everyone knows how much they mean to me and the whole Club – hopefully we can keep performing for them.”
“They were fantastic. They always support the boys through thick and thin and I can’t ask for anymore from them.
Robinson also took the time to thank the supporters, who once again travelled north in fine voice to back their team.
