MK Dons will be out to claim their first Stadium MK success of the season this evening and boss Karl Robinson insists his players are ready for the challenge.
“We’ve not had great results here so obviously there’s been a pressure put on us here of late,” the Liverpudlian told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We know how important it is to put our form right here.
“The players are ready and they’ve worked hard in training – their mentality has been brilliant.”
He continued: “I hope there’s a positive vibe inside the stadium on Tuesday, to help the players – hopefully the players can then give the fans an evening to remember.”
“Wrighty helped take the session and added his advice. He was a great goalscorer and it is brilliant for the players to have him in – he gets the Club and what it’s all about."
“We’ve had a problem with scoring goals here at Stadium MK so we actually trained here to try and work on certain patterns that we’ll be looking to replicate on Tuesday.
“It was nice to bring someone in and lighten the mood,” he added. “He’s infectious and I felt that was important after Saturday and after some of things that have been happening here.
To help raise the morale, Robinson invited ex-England striker and the Club’s former first-team coach Ian Wright to training.
