Dons out to deliver away delight

14 October 2016

Karl Robinson is looking for his MK Dons side to deliver another impressive away performance, this time against the Sky Bet League One leaders.

Robinson’s Dons travel to Scunthorpe United hoping to maintain their excellent form on the road and collecting their fifth away success.

“We’re looking forward to this game like we always look forward to games,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “We have to do our talking on the pitch, though, because that’s where it all matters.

“I feel our recent performances have been very good. There are things we can improve, always – we’ve got to find a ruthlessness in certain areas of the pitch and also work out how to try to increase the chances of the ball falling for us in the right areas.

“I’m expecting a competitive game and, tactically, a very astute game. They are the league leaders so it will be a difficult place to go and play but we’re ready and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

He continued: “There’s a real positive mentality and a real togetherness at the moment. Hopefully we can put a bit of pride back into the shirt on Saturday.

“I get the frustrations (with some results) but we’re strong-minded people – we want to make people proud of us and the only way we can do that is by putting on performances and winning games."
