Reeves: Dons ready to take next step

22 November 2016

MK Dons made it back-to-back unbeaten league matches with a goalless draw at Bristol Rovers last weekend – the next step? Winning games, according to midfielder Ben Reeves.

Reeves & Co ended a run of defeats with a 1-1 draw against Walsall at earlier this month and the team followed that result up by holding sixth-placed Bristol Rovers to a stalemate at their Memorial Stadium.

“With our current form we’d have probably taken a draw before kick-off,” Reeves told MK Dons PlayerHD. “The next step for us is to win these games and I’m sure we can do that in the near future.

“There’s been a gradual build-up to these last couple of games. That’s two performances we can build on – we need to keep going now and hopefully we can get more wins in the near future.”

“Every game now is a big one for us because we need to climb up the table as quick as we can – I’m sure we can do that.”

The two teams occupy places in the relegation zone which makes this evening’s fixture an important one for both parties – midfielder Reeves agrees.

With two points in the bag from two tough matches, the Dons will now look to secure maximum glory in tonight’s Sky Bet League One encounter with Chesterfield.
