Richie Barker believes MK Dons’ last two results are a step towards the team turning around their season.
Barker told MK Dons PlayerHD: “In the league, that’s two games unbeaten and one goal conceded in three hours of football. With all that’s happened before, it’s important that we try to turn it all around and I think this is a start.”
He said: “I thought the lads were excellent. I thought the back four, certainly the two centre-halves, defended excellently.
In difficult conditions at the Memorial Stadium, Barker’s side put in a solid away performance and did well to shut out a Rovers outfit that had scored in all of their home league matches heading into Saturday’s clash.
“Everyone can take credit for their performance today – they more than deserved the point and the clean sheet.”
“(Their triple substitution) was always going to lift the home crowd and we knew that it would change the game but I thought we continued to do what we were doing and we adapted to deal with their changes extremely well.
