Robinson looking to recruit right types

20 May 2016

Karl Robinson says he and his team are working hard to recruit the right type of players.

Preparations are already well underway as the 35-year-old looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2016/17 season.

“We are on it 24/7 - it’s constant toing and froing,” Robinson told MK Dons PlayerHD. “The most important thing is we get the right players in to move the Club forward.

“The gulf between the big boys and the rest is getting bigger and bigger, but we are always striving to bring the best possible players to the Club.

“We need to make sure we keep developing our own players, as well as go and find the right ones from elsewhere that we can work with and make better.”

He added: “Hopefully next time we’re back at stadiummk we will have a team ready to compete at the right end of the table and ready to win football matches.

“That’s a long way off now. We’ve got to make sure we come back in a good frame of mind. We’ve got to shake off that losing mentality and find that winning mentality.”

mkdons.com and the Club’s social media channels are the only places to keep up to date with official player movement during the off-season.
