Connor Furlong says making his senior debut for MK Dons was a ‘dream come true’.
Furlong was one of three named among the substitutes by boss Karl Robinson for the clash with Ipswich Town, and with 88 minutes on the clock he replaced striker Alex Revell to register his first senior appearance at the age of 18.
“I’m over the moon and lost for words,” he told MK Dons PlayerHD. “I didn’t think this chance was ever going to come but then the gaffer called me over and I was buzzing – I can’t take the smile off my face.

He added: “To make my debut at 18 in front of almost 20,000 people is unreal and it will only benefit me for the future.”
A crowd of 19,631 saw Furlong’s first few minutes as a professional and the teenager believes coming on in that environment will prove to be valuable experience for him, as he looks to build on his debut.
“I didn’t know until just before the game that I was on the bench, so the whole way here and in training I was just hoping to do that. The first step for me was to get on the bench but to actually get on the pitch was a dream come true.”
